IN Magazine Hawaii is founded and published by Emily Lopez, Executive Producer and TV Host of Hawaii’s Beauty & Diversity Television aka BDTV (est. in 1998).  After six years of celebrating the best of Hawaii through the BDTV show, Emily realized that there was not a quality magazine that caters to Hawaii’s trendy lifestyle; one that appeals to all ages, primarily post-university, with socially active and engaging lives and is not limited by marital status. 

 

IN Magazine Hawaii was developed in 2003 and published its first issue in 2004.  It is a cutting-edge, trendy lifestyle magazine dedicated to meeting the on-going needs and experiences of the socially active in the media world.  Each issue of the magazine takes an astonishing look at modern-day issues.

 

IN writes stories that matter - exhilarating stories that celebrate the unique culture & heritage of the Islands, focusing on fashion, entertainment and lifestyle.  IN is a quality four-color magazine that reaches Hawai'i's best educated, socially active professionals, executives, its hippest and most affluent residents with disposable income, as well as its most sophisticated visitors.  IN seeks to provide quality editorial and advertising exposure for the pleasures of life that the “IN Crowd” demands while delivering impact for advertisers and investors.

 

In 2005, IN Magazine received NATIONAL distribution through Source Interlink Company.

 

In its first year of publication IN Magazine Hawaii printed 20,000 copies, 100,000 copies in 2005 and is targeting a total combined circulation of 200,000 for 2006, increasing to 400,000 by 2008. The magazine is published quarterly with increased press runs throughout the first five years.
